Hey everyone, where the hell have you been? Myself, I've been schooling. And Spring Breaking. And not UPDATING. Sorry about that, my bad. I'll make it up to you right... now! It's time for a SPRING-BREAKY UPDATE!!!
- Current Music: "Oh!" (The Stroke remake) Union Turnpike - Today's Random Fact: Piranhas generally do not attack humans unless they are already dead or injured. During the dry season, however, when their food supply is scarce, they can be more aggressive. (Today's Random Fact is brought to you by the good people at Quirk productions and The Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook) So I just back from NY again (That's New York City, New York for those of you who aren't in the know.) Lyndz acted in, produced, and directed a show. It was awesome; she did a great job. She did it all on her own, this wasn't a school thing. Pretty cool huh? The name of the play was The Lovers by Brian Friel. I did the graphic design work for her promotional postcards; I'll get a copy of them up here eventually. While I was there we also saw "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot" directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman. Sam Rockwell played Judas and Eric Bogosian played Satan. You know Phil from a bunch of movies, Sam too. You might now know Eric, but he's a big playwright. He was also in Under Siege 2: Dark Territory. I'm going to pick that up just to see it, but that's beside the point. If you're ever in the mood (and in a bookstore), there's a great script for a play called Talk Radio. Talk Radio Pick it up, it's really good. Eric wrote that. If you're a culture-slacker, pick up the movie by the same name. Oliver Stone directed it and Eric wrote the screenplay, but here's the kicker. He (Eric) also starred in the lead role. The movie stays pretty true to the play (well, except for setting it in Texas instead of Cleveland. That pissed me off...). Anywho, you've been enlightened. Go forth and learn further young ones. Where was I? Oh yeah, NY. Lyndz's family was there too, we had a pretty good time together. We ate out a bunch, went out a couple of time with her cast, struck the set, and watched We Love the 80's Strikes Back on VH1. Is that show out on disc yet? I'd buy the 80's and 90's sets. They're hilarious. Oh, also in NY, I helped Lyndz move her set from the studio. In a torrential downpour. I got wet, but it was fun. The truck dude that she hired to haul it all back to the prop loan place was telling us about all the people he's hit. Lyndz didn't take that well. Random Thought: Sahara is coming out in theaters soon. Clive Cussler wrote the book it's based on. According to Maxim and FHM, Clive sued the producers of the movie for changing the script or something like that. Well, I'm reading the book now and it's really good, so we'll see if the movie tanks. It really has been a while since I UPDATED last, what else is new? Well, I bought a few more DVDs, so the lists are updated. I've been working out more and eating a ton of protein (Snickers Marathon Protein Performance Bars, chocolate nut burst flavor. 26 grams each!) I've gained all the weight back that I lost during the 100 hours/week marathons of work and school. The weight lifting is going well and now that I'm back up to my fighting weight its time to add some cardio into the mix. I've cut back my work hours quite a bit, which has given me time to study, work out, and well, sleep. It's nice, but I'm still not used to it. I don't know what to do with myself! The Kitt likes it though; she gets more exercise. School is going well. As long as it stays going well, I should graduate on June 9th. Cross your fingers, cause if I do, I'm throwing a party. A large party. And you're all invited! Have I talked about Texas Hold 'em on here yet? I guess I have. Well, I'm still playing. I have yet to do the computer thing, but I play on the cell phone constantly. I've also watched Rounders a few times, and we get a group of people together to play a game at least once a week. Am I ready for the World Series? Nah. Could I take all your money? Probably! :) Well, if Eric's girlfriend/fiancée isn't playing I could. I've only beaten her once! The weather is gorgeous here, so I'm going out to take advantage for a while. Maybe clean up some dog mess, then walk said dog around a bit so we both get some sun. We were supposed to go rock climbing today, but I think Brother Eric has to work now. Ah well, maybe tomorrow. Later, -T-
